Often, whenever we experience a headache, pain in the straight back or pain in other parts of the body, we straight away reach for medications centered on ibuprofen (Motrin, Nurofen, Advil and Nuprin) so we can relieve the pain. Ibuprofen has the ability to provide immediate relief from any type of pain, but this method will not solve the long-term problems inside the body.
The extortionate consumption of these pills can cause side-effects:
- gastrointestinal bleeding
- hypertension (high blood pressure)
- increased risk of coronary arrest
- erectile dysfunction,
- potential kidney cancer formation.
So, it is time to stop using ibuprofen and similar NSAIDs which inhibit the Cyclooxygenase 2 or COX — 2 enzyme and will cause further inflammation.
When it comes to our overall health, we are luckily enough that Mother Nature gave us an amazing remedy that can provide numerous health benefits:
Curcumin is the active compound in turmeric which could do miracles for the health. When it comes to relieving pains and inflammation, turmeric tea is generally accepted as the healthier, best, and most ancient.
Note: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is recommended to not consume turmeric tea!
Turmeric will heal your aching joints and muscles and at the same time will flake out your body.
For that purpose, we will present you a recipe how to make your own turmeric tea.
To boost the results, you can add other ingredients, such as ginger.
Turmeric Tea Recipe
1 teaspoon ground turmeric or 2 tablespoons grated fresh turmeric root
4 cups water
Fresh lemon/honey to taste
You’ll need to boil some water and add the turmeric if the water reaches its boiling point. If you use fresh grated turmeric, you should boil for 15-20 minute.
Then, strain the tea well, and add the lemon and honey to make its taste better. Your tea is ready. Enjoy!
